Words, Stories, and a Little Theatrical Chaos

I write about the things that stay with us. Love, grief, memory, identity, family, and the marks people leave behind.

My work lives somewhere between the intimate and the theatrical, finding poetry in ordinary objects, complicated relationships, inherited stories, and the strange beauty of becoming someone new.

Things That Stay

Biweekly poems, stories, performances, and occasional thoughts from Whitney's corner of the internet.

Why I write

I still carry your creases.

I write because some things refuse to stay quiet.

A memory. A name. A room. A grief that has outlived the person who caused it. A love that changed shape but never fully disappeared.

Poetry gives me somewhere to put them. Sometimes writing is an attempt to understand what happened. Sometimes it’s simply my way of saying “I was here. I felt this. I remember.”

From the Page to the Stage

Some stories belong on paper. Others need a spotlight.

I’m a poet and performer whose creative work moves between the written word and the stage. From intimate poems about love, grief, memory, and becoming to the characters in Rocky Horror that I bring to life in performance.

Our cast is dedicated not only to delivering an unforgettable show, but also to building community. From traditional theaters and independent venues to festivals, special events, and unique locations, we’ve taken Rocky Horror places it’s never been before, and we’re always looking for the next stage, the next audience, and the next opportunity to make some beautiful, chaotic memories.
